LongaVit: The Longevity Capsules
For centuries people have been accompanied by the desire to win with the passing time and their own age. Due to the progress in medicine, the average life span has been systematically extending. However, only a few live to be one hundred maintaining good psychophysical condition all their lives. While the scientists maintain that in favourable conditions our bodies are programmed to endure even to be 120 years old.
Nowadays, however, various circumstances cause these natural capabilities are not benefited from. The most frequent reasons of the premature mortality are coronary heart diseases and cancer. 17.5 million people die a year world-wide of cardiovascular diseases and heart attacks. For example, these ailments constitute also the major risk to the health and life of the Poles – they constitute 48% of all the death causes.
And here the world discovers the substance that in light of scientific reports, substantiated by the research and experiments, appears to be the longevity elixir and the panacea against civilisation diseases. It is no magic potion, but a natural compound from the polyphenol group, named resveratrol. There is a dietary supplement available on our market – named LONGAVIT, the red wine in capsules, a rich source of resveratrol.
What is resveratrol
Resveratrol is a compound produced by some plants (grapes, eucalyptus, mulberry, spruce, lilies, peanuts) within the framework of their immunity system against fungi and ions of heavy metals or UV radiation. Its highest levels have been found in grapes, especially in their skin. Resveratrol is found also in the products obtained from the grapes, in particular, red wine.
Especially the red wine and the so called French paradox put the scientists on the track of exceptional properties of resveratrol. It was puzzling that despite the diet high in cholesterol, theoretically - unfavourable to health, there was a low incidence of cardiovascular diseases rate among Frenchmen. The French suffer from heart and cardiovascular diseases less frequently than, for instance, Americans. The average French would not go without their daily glass of red wine and that is what protects their coronary arteries.
The experiments carried out on the mice models by a molecular biologist from the USA, David Sinclair, became world famous. Rodents were supplied with killing, very caloric, rich-in-fats diet. After a few months most animals were dead, but the group of mice that were simultaneously administered big doses of resveratrol maintained their livers in good condition, whereas their average life span did not diminish. The French paradox was thus empirically verified.
Longer life in better conditions
Properties of resveratrol have not been discovered within the recent months. Prof. Jerzy Lutomski, a prominent Polish pharmacist, and a popularizer of phytotherapy and an authority in this field, wrote in 2003 in the book titled Phytotherapy. The Tradition and the Future:
"Resveratrol is a very effective antioxidant. It inhibits formation of free radicals, modulates lipid metabolism, inhibits oxidation of lipoproteins and aggregation of blood platelets. It demonstrates also the effect of blocking the initiation and development of cancer cells. Resveratrol is considered to have a potential to decrease the risk of cardiovascular diseases as well as cancer. Preventing the myocardial ischaemia, lowering the risk of cancer, resveratrol delays the ageing processes and improves the quality of life, both its physical and psychological aspects.
Ability to scavenge or to inhibit formation of free radicals by resveratrol is much greater than the oxidative capabilities of vitamins A, C, E and carotenoids that also demonstrate such activity. Resveratrol shows anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, antiallergic and antithrombotic effects. It makes tight the blood vessels and increases the immunity through the modulation of the immunological system."
Resveratrol: revolutionary breakthrough
The world press, not only academic for the general public, published a number of publications devoted to research on the resveratrol. They confirm that it is a very effective antioxidant that decreases the risk of atherosclerosis and the cardiovascular diseases as well as prevents the malignant cancer metastasis. The experiments carried out on mice models show that resveratrol guarantees excellent condition, extends the lifespan, prevents diabetes, heart and cardiovascular diseases and other ailments.
The researchers consider resveratrol a revolution and breakthrough in the therapy of various diseases, while consumers, especially across the ocean, buy the remedies with resveratrol on the mass scale.
It is true that the red wine abounds in resveratrol, but it would be necessary to drink around 100 glasses of this beverage daily to experience the beneficial effect of this substance. Thus it is crucial to take the supplementation. LONGAVIT, red wine in capsules, contains extract from the wine skins, rich in resveratrol. It supplies the same substances as the wine and gives the same protective effect against the so called civilization diseases.
